ISBA Honey and Services Locator Database
The ISBA Locator database is built and maintained by the Indiana State Beekeepers Association as a service both to honey consumers and to beekeeping suppliers who support the ISBA with their membership.
It is a database of honey producers, and packers that have requested their inclusion in this database by completing an application. For specific details concerning eligibility for an ISBA Locator database listing,
please contact Paul Hill.
- The site serves honey consumers by giving them a unique way to find local honey suppliers by different criteria, especially by the type and kind of honey they would like to purchase.
- The site serves suppliers by providing them with a place to publish their information and promote their beekeeping products and beekeeping services.
ISBA Beekeeping School
The Indiana State Beekeepers Association (ISBA) holds a beekeeping school in conjunction with the annual fall conference (October 2009). If you are interested in keeping honeybees or if you
are just interested in learning more about this amazing creature, this school is for you.
The school will cover everything from hive placement, to life inside the hive, to honey production and extraction and much, much more. There will be observation hives and standard hives on site (weather permitting) as well as beekeeping equipment for
demonstration purposes and vendors who can supply all your beekeeping needs. The ISBA Beekeeping School is a comprehensive beginners program that will offer continuing support though the www.indianastatebeekeepers.org web site as well as field clinics and
programs for beginners at future ISBA meetings. This program will offer the most updated and relevant information on how to maintain strong healthy colonies.
Class size is limited and pre-registration is required so reserve your seat...register early!
The 2009 class schedule and times will be announced later.
If you are interested in attending and have questions about the Beekeeping School, email Larry Kemerly at lkemerly@tds.net, or call 317-539-7697.
